I am a Toronto-based research lawyer currently working as Assistant Director at the Innocence Project clinic at Osgoode Hall Law School, where I obtained my JD. I was called to the Ontario bar in June 2018. I also provide freelance legal research services for lawyers working in the field of criminal law.

I moved to Canada from England in 2000 to work on my PhD in the Department of English at the University of Toronto. I completed my doctorate in 2005, before as a professional editor and indexer in Ryerson’s acclaimed publishing program. Prior to becoming a lawyer, I worked both “in house” and as a freelancer in the publishing industry, and I am also a freelance writer. I am the author of two novels, The Crowsbrook Demons and The Caretakers.

My educational and work experience have allowed me to develop strong transferrable skills in research, project management, time management, and managing client relationships.
