I have written numerous magazine and newsletter articles, reviews, and press releases (in addition to my academic work) and I take pride in delivering clear, concise, and accurate copy on time, always adapting my style and tone to the needs of the assignment. My work regularly appears in Rue Morgue magazine; I have also contributed several articles to the arts journal Carousel and the Torontoist blog.

My articles for Rue Morgue include:

  • “The Devil in the Details” (RM#144): a feature about the book Diableries: Stereoscopic Adventures in Hell—a history of the nineteenth-century French craze for 3-D satiric postcards that showcase the adventures of the Devil and a crew of skeletons in Hell—by Brian May, Denis Pellerin, and Paula Fleming (with interviews with the authors).
  • “Beauty and the Blade” (RM#134): a piece on feminist body-horror film American Mary (starring Katherine Isabelle) that featured interviews with directors Jen and Sylvia Soska, as well as Isabelle herself.
  • “Ghost Host” (RM#119): an interview with independent horror director Ti West about his film The Innkeepers.

I published my first novel, The Crowsbrook Demons, in the summer of 2014. The book’s website is at welcometocrowsbrook.com.

I have also contributed to AIDWYC’s blog; my first piece, “Lies, Damned Lies, and Conviction,” can be found here.
